【Trump Fed Chair Decision Expected Around Davos, Bessent Says】U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said the Federal Reserve's Miran can remain past January 31. He expects a Fed chair decision before the World Economic Forum in Davos or upon President Trump's return. Bessent noted Governor Bowman's best use is her current role and that the selection is now down to four candidates. He confirmed Rick Rieder met with Trump recently. On Kevin Hassett not joining the Fed, Bessent said it's "Trump's prerogative." He added it will be Powell's decision whether to stay or leave post-May. Regarding Warsh, Bessent said, "we'll see."
